My teaching style is very hands-on – I do not ‘do’ the class with you, but move around to provide assists and adjustments. For those who are more visual learners, I may perform demonstration of some poses, but I encourage my students to engage their minds and listen, interpreting the directions in your own body.
The level largely depends on the levels of the yogis in the group – I always provide opportunities to take a pose deeper, and I’m happy to provide alternate poses if required.
For my personal practice, I gravitate to a strong flow-based practice. For a number of years I practised the Ashtanga Vinyasa primary series only, but my practice has evolved. I now favour a vinyasa flow based practice and also enjoy including music whilst on my mat.
