I first explored yoga as a way to deal with the pressures of a high-stress job in IT and have been practicing various forms of hot, hatha and flow yoga since 2002. I completed my teacher training in South Africa in 2004, and started teaching part-time. On my first maternity leave in 2009, I started working with other new mothers via the Life With A Baby program and developed a class to share the many benefits of yoga with other new moms .

Yoga has brought me the physical benefits of endurance, focus and flexibility. Most importantly yoga has given me inner strength and awareness. I teach yoga because I believe that we can all take our yogic experiences off the mat and in to our daily lives.

I endeavour to make yoga accessible to all levels of practitioners. In my classes, I will guide you through a flowing practice with an emphasis on being true to your Self and being present on your mat. I strive to show you that yoga is about honouring your body and your breath, with grace and respect.

I am a registered teacher with the Yoga Alliance (E-RYT200) and the Canadian Yogic Alliance (CYA-E-RYT200). My additional certifications include prenatal and kids yoga.

Since moving to Canada, I have been teaching at studios, as well as privately. In 2016, after my third maternity leave, I made the decision to teach full-time, focusing on teaching families.

From my experience teaching yoga to moms and babies on my three maternity leaves, I developed an engaging and interactive Yoga for Mom and Baby class. In 2017 I completed the Core Confidence Specialist certification through Bellies Inc, allowing me to introduce a specialist Postnatal Yoga class specifically designed to help women recover and restore after birth and for the first few months postpartum.

In addition, I can be found on my mat sharing my knowledge with other yoga teachers. I created a teacher training certification for Postnatal and Baby Yoga, enabling certified teachers to expand their teaching repertoire. I am also thrilled to be part of the Teacher Training faculty at Yoga Tree studios, presenting the Prenatal Yoga component of their Yoga Teacher Training courses.
